History Club Meeting Thurs.

Ryan Duffy, Adam Clark, and myself took advantage of the organization fair to continue our club recruitment efforts from the end of last year. At the fair we had over 85 new people sign up for this year's club email list. We will be sure to send them a message later tonight reminding them of this upcoming meeting as well as get a posting on the campus message board so we can get a bit more exposure to the student body. Depending on time we may throw a handful of signs up on the class hall boards to advertise this important meeting as well.
It’s to my understanding that Ryan Duffy and I were going to be named as club officerls along with a few others for this year. If this is not so, please feel free to correct me as I do not want to step on anyone's toes by assuming un-due duties. Otherwise I would love to have a club officer's meeting maybe 15 minutes before the public meeting Thurs night so that we can all get re-acquainted with each other from last year.

I'm not sure what was arranged at the end of last year. I'll ask Dr. Huddle when I see him in the morning. I'm sure there is enough to go around. This is a situation where more is better.

Mr. Michel, I'm the faculty adviser to the History Club and I don't think I've had the pleasure of making your acquaintance. It was I that asked Rachel Engl and a couple of the other majors to get us rolling this fall. And I'm looking at your email correspondence with me from this summer and it conflicts with a number of your assertions here. I think it would be advisable for you to come by my office at your earliest convenience. I'll look forward to meeting you.

Dr. Huddle, I believe i had the pleasure of informaly meeting you a few times at the end of last year through Dan Nuhfer, it is posisble however to easily forget a face like mine. I have had every intention of coming to meet you in person since we began the year but on the occassions when my schedule allowed for me to drop by you were in class or away. If you have other people in mind to run the club or other plans in the works already i certainly do not want to get in the way of them. I really enjoyed my involvement in the club last year and wanted to help out in any way i could this year to make it the best year possible. Again I apologize if I've accidentaly over stepped any boundaries as that was not at all my intention. I will do my best to come by and meet you in person tomorrow. Until then take care.~Brian Michel
