Karen Robbins's Page

This is my family at my son's high school graduation. I'm the one on the left. To the right of the graduate are my husband, Dr. Dan Tate of the Philosophy Department here at SBU, and my mother-in-law Hope Tate. My son is also named Dan, so to differentiate we call him Danny. He is now a freshman at Allegheny College.

My husband and I enjoy art and music, though he leads me in those fields. We also like to ballroom dance and belong to two dance clubs. Then there is Gourmet Club and I belong to a book club as well.

Fortunately, my husband likes history, as I often drag him to historic sites. My interests are the early days, from colonial up to Andrew Jackson. I find the foundings to be extremely revealing, explaining things about our nation both beautiful and ugly. It's always interesting.
